This story left me wanting more to see how the characters ended up . It needs a follow up book.
3.5 - Manly Man & Womanly Woman Stars.
The Matchmaking Pact is book three in Bonnie Deeâs Promise Series, and I have to say this is the one I have been a bit wary of.
Reasons why, this is Corinneâs story, and I will be honest and say I found her to be a little overbearing in the first two bookâs and totally over-opinionated as well. But I can admit when I am wrong, and although she is still those things in The Matchmaking Pact, you also get to see that she is also a fiercely loyal, kind hearted, independent woman.
Dr. Seth Rothstein, is her neighbour, best-guy friend and is also as unlucky in love as she is, a bit nerdy, loves a good sweater vest and has a few self esteem issues. Both pining after people who are ultimately not as perfect as they hoped they would be, they dare themselves to sort the others love life out with a series of dates.
As with the previous two books in this series I really enjoyed the continuation of the groups story as a whole, Corinne ventures to LA for her job, so we get a deeper look at Bree and her fiancé. We also are given a little more information on Adya, when she manages to persuade her to come back to Cincinnati with her...(I have to say this is the book I am hanging out for).
I have always loved a good friends to lovers story, and this one is no exception, Bonnie does and always manages to make you feel like you are part of the story and this book is no exception.
Corinne â Seeing him was like coming home to her own apartment, comfy and relaxing.
Only two books left in the series now, and I am eager to see how both of them turn out. Hereâs hoping that Bonnie has the typing skills of Super(wo)man, and releases them sooner rather than later!

This one's a really nice read!
Corrine and Seth's story was probably the most romantic of the three so far. I'm not usually into friends into lovers story, but I'd prefer the friends into lovers story over whirlwind romances anytime. I have this belief that love is something that takes time to develop. That made me understand why Corrine didn't see instantly how she and Seth could be a couple. I like how the story when to the stage where she was in denial first before coming into the realization of it. It gives the feeling that love was there even before she knew it.
Although this one has ended in another cliff hanger, I think this one has the most implied happily ever after in the series so far. Maybe because Corrine and Seth made me feel that they really are in love and given the chance, they will take that vow to forever anytime. The thing about the way Bonnie Dee ends her books, it gives you room to think for yourself what happens next and maybe even lets you formulate your own ending to the story.
