Jonnique Bell is currently an Assistant Unit Director at UCSF in the birth center unit. She has been a registered nurse for 13 years and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and worked in this capacity as the first black lactation consultant at UCSF. She most recently helped her hospital to obtain “baby-friendly” status - an apparent big deal in the hospital birth center worldShe supported UCSF’s application process by working with other nurses in this transition, while conducting audits and education for providers. Jonnique is an incredibly impressive leader, paving the way for other people to follow in her impressive footsteps.
