This is the final episode of our programming series where we featured youth speakers, organizers, and other amazing humans who are leading programs and initiatives that are helping build equity and community on middle and high school campuses around the world.

Today’s guest is Katherine Walton. Katherine is the leadership teacher at Acalanes High School in the SF Bay Area where Travis works. She has been in this position for 7 years, which essentially a lifetime in teacher years. Only good teachers last this long, and Katherine is among the best. Katherine and she is a good friend of ours and truly a master at her craft.

We chat about community during the time of covid, how teachers and students can avoid burnout, and the importance of surrounding yourself with likeminded leaders.
