As the Iran war closes in on 6 months, the treasury department has implemented crushing economic sanctions on Iran as the military efforts have largely failed to solve the conflict. Iran has been under sanctions since 1979 so it is unclear if this will speed up negotiations or simply keep this conflict going longer than anyone would like. Federal judge, Emmitt Sullivan met with DOJ attorneys to discuss why certain people were not investigated, why so many redactions and if the DOJ is actually breaking federal law. Todd Blanche did not show and instead sent a junior attorney who eventually said "I have nothing else to say" The Judge will be making a ruling in the coming days to force the release and that contempt charges are not a threat, its a promise if DOJ does not comply. Late last Friday night, the Senate confirmed Todd Blanche as Attorney General. Blanche the former Trump personal attorney will now lead the DOJ. This will officially close the Epstein Files for the remainder of the Trump second term.
