In this episode, Matthew talks about what is happening in San Quentin Prison and California. Prisoners are segregated and divided up by race, but for one brief moment the prisoners forget their differences and play a game of tennis on the tennis court in the prison yard. College tennis players and professional tennis players will even go to the prison grounds and play tennis with the prisoners.

Matthew also talks about NBA hopeful Wendell Lee, Jr. who was gunned down outside of his friends house in Los Angeles. Lee was invited to tryout in the Los Angeles Lakers minor league team and D-League. He didn't like Los Angeles and wanted to get out, but he picked up the game of basketball with street ball.

Matthew also talks about the WNBA and Caitlin Clark. Clark has not set the WNBA rookie assist record with 19 assist in her game against the Dallas Wings. Although, the Fever loss to the Wings things are looking up for the Indiana Fever. Matthew also talks about the new media rights deal with the NBA and how it could affect the WNBA.

In the NFL, Terrell Owens admitted in a podcast that he would have loved to play with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after Antonio Brown walked off the field. Owens contacted Tom Brady, but Brady never got back to him. All this and more on The Matthew Paris Show.
