Dani discovers that Olin is one of her husband's mental patients. Dani isn't sure she can trust the obviously unstable man, but Olin urges she open the door so he can help defend her. Cut to a shot of a second mental patient residing in a halfway house, then cut to the title card. This man investigates after hearing terrible noises coming from a nearby room and discovers a horrifyingly mutilated corpse. If not for a single object extracted from the gory mess—a glass eye—the deceased would remain unidentified with its head blown into hideous fragments. Ted, Dani's husband, goes to meet Darcy, the owner, a blind psychic who also happens to be Dani's twin sister. during the opening scene over a phone call.
