And it was in the book STARING AT LAKES, and at this time of year as we go into autumn I think about people suffering from depression and chronic loneliness. So I really wanted to share my own personal experience, both in the poem and by reflecting on it. What I found is not an explanation of sadness, but a way that got me out of it.
