After more than a year of build-up, the epic feud between Johnny Gargano and NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa was supposed to finally blow-off in the NXT Takeover before WrestleMania. However, with only weeks to go, Ciampa required neck surgery and Takeover had lost its main event.
