Whilst New Japan have been knocking out five-star matches in the eyes of Dave Meltzer for a few years now (this is the third of four in just the first week of 2021!), but less frequent amongst those matches has been clashes where matches contested for the NEVER Openweight Championship is concerned. Well, now it's in the hands of recent favourite Shingo Takagi things are changing. Takagi finds himself in the unusual position of fighting a squat powerhouse who is bigger and stronger than he is in the newly-turned Jeff Cobb.
