Peter came to Jesus and asked Him how many times someone should forgive another and Jesus told him over and over again. If you have an ought against someone then you can’t love God. God shows us mercy and He shows us grace. Without grace and mercy then we would all be lost. People don’t use the altar much and it’s possible that it’s because they are afraid of what others will think or say.
Jesus paid our sin debt at His crucifixion and His blood covers all of our sins. If you’re saved then you owe Him everything for that. You don’t have the love of God in you if you have an ought against someone. God will not dwell with you if you have an ought. The only way to deal with the ought is to ask for forgiveness from both God and the person you have an ought with.
Our churches are hurting. Some only have a few members, three to four maybe in attendance. Do you think God saved you to just sit on a pew? He saved your soul and you don’t want to work for Him? That’s the least that you could do for Him. Empty pews that used to be filled with members that loved God. Just a few years back during our association meetings we would have to bring out chairs to help provide seats for our fellow churches. Now, we have many empty pews. Some churches are not even represented.
