MVBC- Sunday Sermon Messages

In this sobering passage, Isaiah delivers a message of God's judgment and the reasons for it.

Isaiah 9 is a beautiful prophecy about God's greatest gift to us.

The prophet Isaiah gives us a rallying cry that God’s people need today.

Are you afraid?  Isaiah 8 reveals the cure for fear.

In Isaiah 7, Ahaz, king of Judah, was faced with a decision: when under attack, would he trust in God or in the nation of Assyria to rescue?

In chapter 6, Isaiah relates to us his encounter with Godand subsequent commissioning.  Have you been encountered God yet like Isaiah did?

Isaiah 5 brings indictments against Judah for her many sinsand describes the judgment God would bring against her.  We can benefit greatly from this passage if we will ponder the applications for us.

Isaiah chapters 2 through 4 is a unit detailing hope, thenjudgment, then hope again. Last week we looked at chapter 2:1-6, which was an incredible expression of future hope. Now we pick up where we left off and look at the second and third sections of this unit: judgment, then hope. This section also reminds us of where we should put our trust.

Isaiah 2:1-5 reveals a vision of the future.  The certainty of what awaits us changes how we live life now in the present as we await that beautiful future.

Today we begin our series through the book of Isaiah, a bookthat reveals the majesty of God.
