This book leads you through the difficult journey of entrepreneurship with clear and easy MUST DO items that are supported by experience and concrete examples from Mr. Simonds' direct experience founding several startups. He guides you through the birthing pains and the treacherous unknowns that pop up in all startups. It's the unknowns which kill you, and Mr. Simonds has been kind enough to share his hard-earned experiences with us in the form of concrete examples from his various companies which seal his ideas into your psyche.

You know off the bat that Mr. Simonds knows what he's talking about from painful, hard-earned experience. This is not like other business books which come off as being too general and theoretical. These are practical steps and specific examples of the pain points of his actual businesses. He learns the lessons from each of these pain points and passes that valuable knowledge onto you, the reader.

No matter where you are in the progress of your business, Mr. Simonds' insights can give you a practical view of difficult to identify problems and the solutions out of those problems. He details several gotchas which you won't know about unless you've gone through it. I like the section on VCs and what he calls KWONKs or Question-Non-Questions which are tricky questions that experienced VCs might ask you in order to phish for information which helps them to the detriment of your ability to operate and close the deal in a buyout situation.
