When I first heard Robert Groos-Albout sing with his band Emily's Giant, I was completely

captivated, and we got to know each other. Then, in 2016, he sang the song “Cone” from my

album “Forms” for me, and I knew that we would work together again musically. The sketch for

“Broken End” was written back in 2018, but sometimes things just take longer to take shape.

There are only four lines sung here, but they describe a hopeless outlook on the future.

However, it's still a straw to cling to in order to have hope and courage for the next step. You just

have to take that step!
