Listen Later

How in the world did we get here? How do you reconcile your identity with your various roles? How do you regain a sense of control when life feels like it is spinning? Do you recognize your coping mechanisms and patterns? Which ones are healthy? And which ones, not so much? Join Kellie and Claire as they hash out their thoughts and feelings about midlife and how to pursue your overall well-being and relationships with purpose and intentionality.

Advice Not Given:

  • Be observant of yourself.
  • Find someone you can confide in.
  • Seek out therapy or find an objective person with whom you can share your struggles.
  • Identify five people who help you grow. Put an emoji beside their name in your phone and when they text or call you, respond. These are your lifelines.
  • Use voice memos, Marco Polo, or other technology to BE the friend to check in and connect. Isolation is desperation. CHECK IN with your people.
  • Be open and aware of when you are not coping well. Observe it, recognize it, and find an alternate reaction.
