Hey Midnighters,
We’ve hit a major milestone: Episode 150 of The Midnight Project is here! To mark the occasion, I’ve pulled together a set that’s packed with power, emotion, and a special focus on some of the most inspiring women in techno today. They come from different parts of the world, but what bonds them is undeniable: bold sound, relentless drive, and deep connection to the crowd.
Amelie Lens opens the female energy wave with Never The Same. Straight out of Belgium, her sound is intense, hypnotic, and instantly recognizable. She’s followed by another Belgian heavyweight, Charlotte de Witte, who brings The Realm, fresh from her debut album and loaded with her signature acid grooves and emotional depth. These two artists are not only shaping the Belgian techno scene, they’re leading it globally.
Then comes a standout moment: Mariana BO from Mexico with Deep In Your Mind. This one’s already a classic. She blends her classical music roots with a mainstage edge, delivering something melodic yet massive. It's that kind of track you feel in your chest and remember long after the night ends. And finally, Sweden’s Ida Engberg closes the set with New Day, a beautiful reminder of how techno can be both soulful and strong.
Different sounds, different countries, but one spirit. This is what unites these women, the courage to create something unforgettable and the power to connect people through music.
