Victor Ruiz and HNGT’s A New Day on 1001 Recordings lifts the energy beautifully, and Layton Giordani with Camden Cox on Destiny adds that emotional edge that keeps things human inside the machine.

The final stretch is where it gets special. Victor Ruiz and Moreira’s Every Day Arcane flows into Liberthorn’s Digital Dissociative, and then we flip it. L.A. Style’s James Brown is Dead in UMEK’s bootleg form is a nod to the roots, reimagined for now. Annie Hill closes Episode 195 with Legacy, and that title says it all.
