In this episode I share some insights on my ”commitment” to regular content creation and updates on my health & fitness journey. I reflect on the challenges of maintaining a weekly publishing schedule and I set clear intentions for future episodes. I also talk about my recent involvement with a weight loss & longevity clinic, as well as my fitness routine, and a 30 day challenge I’m taking on. I also talk about being a victim of fraud and how it’s turned into an opportunity to do a full financial audit in my business.

Another stream-of-consciousness episode!
In this episode, I share my thoughts on the importance of self-grace and forgiveness, especially when I don’t meet my own deadlines for the podcast. I have some exciting news to share about my business, with unexpected but positive developments in the AI search engine optimization space, particularly with private pay medical clinics. I’m also thrilled to talk about my successful fitness journey, where intentionality and change have played a crucial role.
Reflecting on my weight loss journey, I recognize that I’ve hit a plateau, but I’m feeling a renewed determination to break through it. I’ve also been navigating a challenging season in my marriage, and I can’t stress enough how important grace, intentional action, and gratitude have been during this time. I’m looking forward to creating future episodes where I can delve deeper into my fitness journey and explore other topics that are close to my heart.
In this episode I am re-posting my appearance on the "What Are You Creating" podcast with Cliff Ravenscraft.
It was such an honor and privilege to be invited on this podcast by Cliff - and if you haven't been exposed to Cliff's work, you need to be! Cliff is most well-known as "The Podcast Answer Man", but I know him as the "Mindset Answer Man" as I worked with him for a few years being a part of his Next-Level Mastermind group, along with 1-1 coaching with him.

In this episode I talk about my struggles with perfectionism and overthinking, to the point of delaying the recording of this podcast episode. Inspired by The Cliff Ravenscraft Show, Episode 814, I decided to embrace authenticity and simplicity, opting for a stream-of-consciousness format for this episode. While the value of AI is clear, my aim is to minimize its influence on content creation, prioritizing genuine human connection and unfiltered expression (ironically that last sentence was clearly written by AI, lol).
I discuss my desire to create more authentic content, particularly in video format, to connect with my audience on a deeper level. I acknowledge the influence of AI-generated content but emphasize the importance of human connection and authenticity.
I also discuss my challenge with overconsumption of content, particularly on social media, and how I’m focused on eliminating bad habits to improve my daily routines and overall productivity.
Most men either say nothing when they should speak, or they finally speak and go too hard.
I went too hard.
A young leader in my church posted something I believed was genuinely harmful on social media. I called him out privately, and I meant what I said. The problem wasn't what I said. It was how I said it. I shared my message with an older man I respect and look up to, and his feedback hit hard -> "You must have a really close relationship as I'd only talk that directly to my own sons."
You don't get a gold star for keeping your mouth shut when someone you care about is heading in the wrong direction. But harshness isn't courage either. If your delivery closes the door, you didn't just lose the conversation, you may have forfeited any potential future influence with that person.
We dig into what Galatians 6:1, Ephesians 4:15, Proverbs 25:15, and James 1:19 actually say about delivering hard truth without destroying the relationship in the process.
In this first episode of the Mike Skiff Show, I share my journey of creating content and my commitment to consistency moving forward. I aim to redefine leadership through the lens of faith, family, and personal sovereignty, addressing topics that resonate with men like me—husbands, fathers, and entrepreneurs. I invite you to reflect on three domains where you lead and consider whether you are truly leading or merely managing. Additionally, I encourage you to share your thoughts on challenges you face and topics you want me to cover in future episodes. I'm excited to embark on this journey with you and look forward to our next conversation.
I'm back with the Mike Skiff show after a few years away from solo podcasting, and I'm excited to dive into discussions about absolute truth amidst the chaos of modern culture. My mission is to explore traditional values, share my experiences as a husband and father of seven, and discuss my journey as a business owner in today's digital landscape. I aim to speak boldly about my opinions and insights, and I want to encourage those who resonate with this message to subscribe and join me on this journey. If you're seeking truth and are ready for candid conversations, this show is for you.
