The Millennial Career Crisis When the Path You Followed Stops Working

Listen Later

In this episode, I talk about something many millennials experience but don’t always know how to name: the moment when the career path you followed stops working.

A lot of us were taught that success meant stability, climbing the ladder, and “sticking it out.” But for many people in their 30s, that formula leads to burnout, frustration, or feeling disconnected from their work.

I share my own experience of leaving a corporate job, the pressure and fear that came with that decision, and what I’ve learned since about building work — and a life — that actually makes sense long-term.

This episode was inspired by a video from JessieJeanHome, whose words perfectly captured what so many of us are feeling.

This isn’t an episode about quitting your job or making drastic moves.

It’s about understanding why so many people feel stuck — and why questioning the path you were taught doesn’t mean you’re failing.

If you’ve been feeling unmotivated, restless, or unsure about your next step, this conversation may help you make sense of where you are.
