And ' SHE REALLY DIDN'T WANTED TO BE An AUTHOR ' . Happiness, stress, ecstasy or depression, it s all a mind game. As long as our mind is under our control, everything else is. That s what The Mind Game is all about. It is not an average self-help book that preaches life-enhancing methodologies based on complex science or long philosophical verses. The book s genius lies in its simplicity. It offers quick, actionable and instantly applicable tips that will help readers lead better lives, instantly. “The the most important thing in communication is hearing what isn’t said” – Peter .F. Drucker
“When you connect to the silence within you, that is when you can make sense of the disturbance going on around you” – Stephen Richard (Cosmic Ordering Guide)
I’ve never know that self-help books can be so engaging and stimulating. Always found and experienced that suspense thriller is gripping but this book proved me wrong. It was an absolute page-turner. At each point of time, I was like “just one chapter more”. I just couldn’t feel like keeping this book aside even for a moment.
Book is filled with theories, examples, tips which were quite easy to comprehend. It is divided into 6 major parts. I guess each and every person encounters these phases at some or the other point in a lifetime. Book gives an actual explanation of how variedly our mind plays games and how it affects us not only mentally but physically and emotionally as well. Also, it tells us about how the environment and people around us plays a crucial role in our life.
A well an explained term in this book was “Epicureanism”. It teaches that an individual should seek to limit one’s desire and live with modesty to achieve tranquility and happiness
An explicit research work of the author is evident. The psychological theories were quite uncomplicated, simple and useful. Thoroughly practical examples were given, we can relate to our day to day situations.
Being a psychology enthusiast this book proved to be quite informative and knowledgeable- review by Shraddha Kamble .
