“For me, feeling proud is all about knowing that I’m balancing life in a way that is not just about how much money I make; it’s not about how many things on my to-do list I got done and things like that. It’s more about are you really proud?”
“I was a victim to everything. I blamed everything. I was a happy person. I was the kind of person that everybody loved being around. But in my mind, the reason I wasn’t able to lose weight was always someone else’s fault. It’s my genes’ fault; my history growing up; my lack of success. I was so focused on taking no responsibility for it that I took no responsibility for it.”
