Enterprising. Unique. Thoughtful. Those are just three words to describe broadway actress April Matthis. You might have seen her starring as Toni in off-broadway’s Toni Stone, or as the Narrator in Help, also off-broadway. During her time on the stage, she has created characters that illustrate Black women in the fullness of their humanity. She is currently making her Broadway debut in the role of “Grace” in the Broadway production of August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson.
