Pastor Thomas Brashears -- Today this event is of critical importance. The feeding of five thousand is the only miracle recorded by all four gospel writers. The apostles were deeply affected by the miracle. It made a dramatic and lasting impact upon them. The miracle has to do with what is so close to God's heart -- human need. Christ deals with our attitudes toward human need. He is concerned with how we handle our resources and with how we go about meeting the needs that confront us.
