The Missing 411 is a theory that people are disappearing from national parks and other wilderness areas in unusual and unexplained ways. Author David Paulides claims that these disappearances are more common than the National Park Service admits, and that many of them involve strange circumstances, such as people vanishing without a trace, leaving behind no belongings or clues. Paulides has also noted that a disproportionate number of the missing are children and young adults. The story of this investigation has captured the public's imagination, and has been the subject of books, documentaries, and podcasts. There are some who believe that the disappearances are the work of a creature or other supernatural forces. Others believe there could be a collection of feral humans lurking within the cave systems of the United States. Today, we’re exploring the chilling stories behind this project and the evidence that still won’t add up.
