Last year was a banner year for New Zealand movies - smash hit documentaries like Poi E and Richie McCaw Chasing Great, new films from veterans Lee Tamahori and Alison McLean - Mahana and The Rehearsal, and towering over them all, our biggest local hit ever, Taika Waititi's Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
