Officially the first episode recorded in the batch, you can almost hear the roughest of edges with Sam's scripts and A.J.'s unknowing just what he's getting into with Peter Kurten, the Monster of Dusseldorf, who terrorized Dusseldolf in the early 1900s. Almost informative and criminally silly, we can guarantee it's under 15 minutes or less, or your podcast is free!
Peter Kurten, also known as the Dusseldorf Monster, was a German serial killer active from 1899 to 1930. He had a troubled childhood with an abusive father and began exhibiting violent behavior at a young age. Kurten was involved in petty crimes before escalating to murder in 1929. He targeted women and children, using various weapons to kill his victims. Kurten was eventually caught after taunting the police with letters. He was found guilty and executed in 1931. The podcast hosts discuss the nature versus nurture debate in relation to Kurten's actions.
