The First Order Principle is an arcane problem discussed by philosophers for generations but ignored by the vast majority or persons, but if the First Order Principle tells us where the line between good and evil is and what are priorities ought to be, lacking an understanding of what the First Order Principle is, seriously damages our ability to marshal our resources or determine the nature of justice.
