I’m not sure about you but I have a tendency to focus on what I want right now, regardless of its long term impact (think carbs, sitting in front of the TV, or not having tough conversations, etc.). What I’ve been thinking about, is whether or not this is spiritual? Is this focus on what I want in the short term spiritual? And is long term thinking part of our spiritual work?
