MAIN STORY: A Chicago landlord allegedly told ICE to target residents behind on rent — and it led to a full-blown federal raid. New reporting reveals that the controversial September ICE raid on a Chicago apartment building — the one where women, children, and even U.S. citizens were zip-tied and dragged into vans — wasn’t just about “immigration enforcement.”

According to the investigation, the building’s landlord urged ICE to target tenants with unpaid rent, turning a debt dispute into a militarized operation involving helicopters, rappelling agents, and dozens detained for hours.
