Out of 4,779 worker fatalities in private industry in calendar year 2018, 1,008 were in construction – that is, one in five workers deaths last year were in construction. Looking into those numbers more closely, Oscar Garcia recognized the alarming number of Latin American workers. This inspired the creation of his business, Need2Say, which helps bring safety training to the Latin American Workforce in the building industry.
