Bucket 236: Not Instagram-Worthy
Scripture: Matthew 23:27-28
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.”
Devotional:
In today’s world, it’s easy to get caught up in appearances the perfect photos, the flawless stories, the highlight reels. But Jesus warns us against focusing on outward beauty while neglecting what’s inside. The danger of living “Instagram-worthy” is that it can mask a heart that’s far from God. True faith is messy, honest, and often unseen by others. God values a heart that seeks Him authentically over a life that simply looks good on the outside.
Take a moment to reflect: Are you more concerned about how you appear to others or how you truly live before God? Let’s choose to cultivate a faith that’s real even when no one is watching.
Prayer:
Father, help me to be honest with You and myself. Guard my heart against the temptation to only look good on the outside. Teach me to live authentically and to seek Your approval above all else. Amen.

Bucket 201: Trust the Process
Scripture:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him...”
 Romans 8:28 (NIV)
Devotional:
Starting over isn’t instant. It’s a process sometimes slow, sometimes painful. But God is working behind the scenes, weaving all things together for good.
You might not see it now, but each step forward, each lesson learned, is part of a greater plan. Trust God’s timing, trust His ways, and trust His heart.
The process is refining you into the person He designed you to be.

Where do you struggle to trust God’s timing in your new beginning?
How can you remind yourself that God is working all things for your good?
Prayer:

But God often asks us to be still so that He can fight for us. This doesn’t mean passivity, but trust. It's choosing to step back, breathe deep, and believe that God is working on your behalf. You don’t have to win every battle with your own strength. Let God take the lead. Prayer: Lord, I surrender the battles I’m facing to You.
