THE INTIMACY OF PRAYER. 


Prayer is a personal intimate relationship with the Father. There’s no better place or way to express our love and intimacy than the place of prayer. As we continue to examine the values and principles that Jesus Christ taught us in the place of prayer, we see that intimacy is one of the highest values.  The entire structure of Biblical spirituality lays on the foundation of intimacy. 

To approach the place of prayer requires that such a person or people be well acquainted with the depth of emotional currency needed in such a venture. As we know, prayer and intercession require every, as prayer involves the richness of communion and knowledge of a shared life and relationship with the Father. This knowledge is not a matter of choice, but a requirement if one is going to journey in the Spirit and ministry of prayer.  We are told that when we pray, we must go into the inner room and shut the door. This statement immediately suggests intimacy, relationship, secrecy, devotion, contemplation, etc. 


Although there are diverse types of prayer according to the context and context, including the place of corporate gathering and prayer. However, prayer should not begin from a third-party involvement; prayer is your personal relationship between you and your heavenly Father according to the instruction of Christ.

There’s no doubt that we are fast losing some key values of what makes our prayer and spiritual values, due to the culture of perverted attitude of openness and looseness we are seeing today even in the Church. Intimacy is an integral part of the ministry of prayer, which must be practiced according to the divine protocol.  According to the book of Matthew chapter 6:6, this teaching allows us to re-examine the value of intimacy in the place of prayer.
