The Feast of the Lord Audio

The Most Ignored Warning From Jesus About Our Children (The Other 16, Part 5)

Listen Later

Jesus gave a chilling warning — “Whoever causes one of these little ones to stumble…”

We’ve quoted it for years… but very few actually believe Him.

This message isn’t just another sermon — it’s a divine interruption.

God is calling the Church to wake up.

We’ve prayed for revival… but God says, “Revival starts in the home.”

In this prophetic teaching, Pastor exposes what’s really happening in the spirit:

-Why prayer—not politics—is holding back destruction.

-Why the treatment and training of children is a reflection of our relationship with God.

-Why the devil targets the young — and how parents, teachers, and believers must respond.

-How to discipline, love, and lead like the Father Himself.

This is the kind of message you don’t just watch — you repent through it.

It will awaken every parent, leader, and believer to what Jesus really meant when He said,

“Let the little children come to Me.”

Here are the author's notes from this week's message:

The Other 16 Part 5

*- How does Jesus view the way children are treated?

5 And whoever receives and accepts and welcomes one little child like this for My sake and in My name receives and accepts and welcomes Me.

*- Protecting, teaching, and loving children are among the clearest ways we welcome Christ Himself.

6 But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in and acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin [that is, who entices him or hinders him in right conduct or thought], it would be better (more expedient and profitable or advantageous) for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be sunk in the depth of the sea.

Matthew 18:5-6 (AMPC)

*- Jesus takes the treatment of children personally. To harm, mislead, or hinder them is so serious that He warned—it would be better to be drowned with a massive stone tied around your neck than to face the judgment awaiting anyone who causes one of His little ones to stumble.

Fathers, do not irritate and provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to resentment], but rear them [tenderly] in the training and discipline and the counsel and admonition of the Lord.

Ephesians 6:4 (AMPC)

*- Commanded fathers, never handle children in ways that provoke, irritate, or embitter them. Instead, raise them with tenderness, discipline, rebuke, warning, and counsel that flows directly from the Lord.

*- discipline: the whole training and education of children (which relates to the cultivation of mind and morals, and employs for this purpose now commands and admonitions, now reproof and punishment

*- admonition denotes that parental speech is to impress the Lord’s ways on children, balancing nurture and warning.

*- What is recorded in the Bible concerning disciplining children?

Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.

Proverbs 22:15 (AMPC)

*- Without strict discipline, foolishness will remain in the heart of any child.

The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left undisciplined brings his mother to shame.

Proverbs 29:15 (AMPC)

*- Expressing sharp disapproval of a child’s behavior or actions makes them wise.

Withhold not discipline from the child; for if you strike and punish him with the [reedlike] rod, he will not die.

Proverbs 23:13 (AMPC)

*- I’m not instructing anyone to strike their children. The word ‘if’ in this verse expresses biblical instruction for those who choose that form of discipline. The ‘reedlike rod’ mentioned was hollow, lightweight, and easily broken—symbolizing correction without harm.

*- Spanking and beating come from very different motives. Discipline—training a child to obey and learn—is always about instruction, never anger..

13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Mark 10:13-14 (KJV)

*- Even today, many people fail to bring children to Jesus so He can touch their lives.

*- Any child whom Jesus touches will encounter the transforming power of His love.

*- Children and adults need Jesus to touch us—empowering us to live and share His love every day.
