This 11th Episode of Season 3 of The Motions kicks off with a kiss of the classic soul before I dip you right in the deep end and take you on a full hour into the ozone with selections chosen and played in the style of the late David Mancuso, Musical Host and Curator of the LOFT, NYC. This eclectic selection spans from decades of Classic R&B to Deep House pumping bass and instrumentation it's known for. Starting off this journey is a warm tune from The Rance Allen Group performing “Reason to Survive” to help replenish your soul. Next up is everyone’s favorite Frankie Beverly killing the classic “Joy & Pain” an acoustic-type M+M Remix, picking up the pace with Tom & Joyce’s “Queixume (Original Mix)”, a jazzy samba ballad. Here then comes songstress Nina Simone’s “Go to Hell (Mowo Remix)” of the Reimagined album. Then I dip you into deep house mode with “Lemon” by the late 70’s Dublin band U2. I finish leaving you wanting more at close with Kawabata’s ”Feelin’ It” by Drumpoet Community… played for the dancer in you, to attain higher vibrations and visions of baby powder pleasure, from a female's perspective of course!
