Isaiah 40:1-31; Psalm 62:1-12
Pastor Troy begins our new series on Worship with this message. Worship can mean so many different things, but there is one thing about worship that never changes, or rather, some One that never changes. Isaiah 40 is rich with the majesty of God. He looks at God's character and His attributes, as well as His works and His salvation. When we think about worship, we must never forget Who exactly it is that we are worshipping. We worship a God who saves, a God of righteousness and judgment, the Good Shepherd, the unshakeable God who never falters and never fails! Our God is mighty and holy and wholly deserving of our worship.
The calling for every Christian is to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Well, where does the earth begin and where does it end? For us at Bald Mountain Baptist Church, the world begins in the Shumont Community on top of a little peak in Buncombe County, NC. Our prayer is that through this platform we might do our part in reaching the ends of the earth with the gospel!
We are working on getting our back-content uploaded, please bear with us. We just wrapped up a short series on The Heart, and are now moving into our new series on Worship. Pastor Cory is also making his way through the book of Ephesians in his messages. We at Bald Mountain Baptist Church are so glad you have joined us here, and our prayer is that you are blessed by this message!
Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
Isaiah 42:10-11
