Whether it’s #MedTwitter, academic conference hashtags, or docs on TikTok teaching us the latest on skin care and healthy living, we have all started to realize that social media has increasingly become a popular tool in medicine to connect with colleagues and patients.

In today’s episode, we speak with Dr. Rena Malik, a urologist at the University of  Maryland, on her own experiences using social media professionally to connect and collaborate with colleagues and patients. We hope this episode can give us some tips on how to get involved in the virtual conversation and use social media as a means of networking in today’s day and age.

As third years, we are transitioning into a different lifestyle than what we have experienced in the first two years of medical school. This brings its own unique challenges in addition to maintaining many of the same aspects as before: studying, working out, cooking, cleaning, etc. In this episode, we discuss how to build successful habits, based on a 2020 New York Times article called How to Build Healthy Habits.
