Google recently announced that it was expanding it's Google Fiber network

to Charlotte.  It made the local news.  Having internet speeds up to 1 Gbps

can actually improve property values in a neighborhood.  Soon after

Google's announcement, AT&T announced it's gigabit service for Charlotte.

 Isn't competition great!
