Who is Jesus really? In John 4, the story of the Woman at the Well reveals more than a miracle — it reveals His heart.

In Episode 2 of The Muddy Cross, we move beyond surface-level belief and ask a deeper question:

Who are we actually putting our trust in?

Many of us know facts about Jesus — He healed the sick, taught in parables, died on a cross. But knowing information about someone isn’t the same as knowing them.

In John 4:1–42, we see something different.

Jesus meets a woman who is:
 • Socially isolated
 • Avoiding people
 • Carrying shame
 • Searching for fulfilment

And instead of leading with correction, He begins with conversation.

Instead of rules, He offers relationship.
 Instead of condemnation, He offers living water.

In this episode, we explore:

 ✔ Why He makes Himself vulnerable in the conversation
 ✔ What “living water” truly means

Have you ever loved Jesus but still felt like you were drowning? 

Praying, trusting, and trying to do the right things — yet the storm feels louder than His voice?

In this episode, we reflect on Peter walking on water in Matthew 14 and what it reveals about faith, fear, and the steady presence of Jesus. This isn’t about perfect faith or trying harder, but about who Jesus is when obedience still leads into storms and focus begins to drift.

We were recently invited by our church to share about our recent mission trips to Albania 🇦🇱

Over the past few months, we’ve taken part in two short trips (October and November). Some of the stories may already be familiar through our podcast, The Muddy Cross, so today isn’t about repeating what we did — it’s about what God has been teaching us.

Mission isn’t just about travelling or projects. It’s about the heart God is forming in us.

Albania reminded us that you don’t need to cross a border to be on mission — you simply need to be willing to be sent. Mission begins right where we are: in our workplaces, homes, communities, and sometimes beyond our borders.

We also learned that God can use us even when we feel empty or unfinished, that mission is about planting seeds (both big and small), and that it begins not with speaking — but with listening.

As we talk, we’ll share photos from both trips and reflect on how Albania has shaped the way we now live on mission every day.

Looking ahead, we’re stepping into the next chapter — converting a van and continuing to say yes to where God sends us.
