Somewhere in this timeline. V Putin held a meeting with his 50 Oligarchs to warn of upcoming sanctions that would drastically affect their businesses. He suggests to them that if Russia could develop better relations with the new administration maybe they could forge a better relationship with the U.S and avoid sanctions. Those 50 oligarchs went on to ask 119 of their associates to try. So many Russians!

The Russian attack meanwhile evolved into supporting Trump, probably with the Trump campaigns blessing, but probably not at the trump campaigns direction. It seems that everyone was contacted by the very eager and desperate Russians, But one by one, whether through incompetence, ignorance or knowledge of it’s inappropriateness avoided much follow through

Still I’m left wondering about a single meeting trump and Sessions had with the campaigns foreign advisors. When Paul Manafort introduced himself in that meeting, He mentioned his Russian connections and the Russians eagerness to begin a relationship. It was said that Trump was receptive to pursuing that, while Sessions seemed less in favor. After Trump won, I think is a different story, but this I think is why Manafort is so interesting, and also silent. So many Russian attempts, but thats the one I see that might have stuck.
