The legacy of the Muppets is incalculable. From 13 mainline movies,  hundreds of episodes from various shows, and a collection of award-winning songs, it is impossible to truly comprehend the reach of this puppet empire. But while the muppets today permanently reside in the histories of society and culture, at one point they only existed as a  simple idea in the mind of their creator, Jim Henson. An idea that underwent countless changes and adaptations throughout his life. Yet no matter how unsurmountable the task seemed, no matter how many failures  Henson and his team encountered, they continued to pursue their dream.  The story of the Muppets is one of perseverance, and an unfailing passion to entertain the world. To truly understand the difficulties and changes the muppets went through to reach their final destination as a  cultural milestone, we must look at the saga, behind the story, of the muppets.
