The murder of a sex worker allegedly by a convicted killer on parole in Quebec last month has reignited calls for reform to Canada’s sex work laws. The laws came into effect in 2014 and were touted as a way to eliminate the demand for sex work altogether. But many advocates say that sex workers have faced increased violence.
