In 2019, John McGuire and his girlfriend Amanda left Minnesota on a road trip to Alabama to visit John's mother. Authorities would eventually bring in Larry McClure on a tip they received, and Larry would tell the officers how he and his two biological daughters, Amanda and Anna, had tortured and killed him Valentine's Day.
