Karen, who was fresh out of high school, moved to Colorado Springs. She was working at a local Red Lobster and had been in the restaurant waiting for her boyfriend to get off his shift when she was kidnapped by several men who had intended to rob the place. They instead kidnapped Karen, raped her repeatedly and stabbed her to death.
