Otto was 21 when he decided to travel to North Korea before starting a study programme in Hong Kong. He loved to travel anyway and he had always been curious about the isolated Asian nation. So, why not just go?
When his five-day tour started together with a group of US citizens and other people from other countries, nothing seemed amiss. However, just before he stepped onto the plane to fly back to the States, he was arrested.
Life will never be the same for Otto and his family back in the States.
