After spending a Friday night out with a friend, 22 year old Tess Richey failed to return home.

The out of character disappearance would lead to nation wide news coverage, and serve as the opening scenes for one of Canada’s most heartbreaking series of events.

In this episode of Nighttime we are joined by Tess’ sister Varina Richey, who will share an inside look at a family living through every families worst nightmare.

On Monday April 22nd, news broke of a fatal stabbing footsteps away from the busy entrance to the Halifax Shopping Centre.
The victim, Ahmad Al Marrach is a 16 year old boy. The two alleged perpetrators.. one of whom seemed to gloat about their brutal act online... are only 14 years old.
In this episode, I’m joined by investigative journalist Paul Palango and defense lawyer Adam Rodgers to discuss this disturbing story and the impact Canada's Youth Criminal Justice Act plays in the pursuit of Justice for Ahmad Al Marrach.
