In the American legal system, defendants are innocent until proven guilty. Initially, Trendell Goodwin entered a not guilty plea. At the time of this recording, he had entered a guilty plea in the shooting death of LaShonda Childs. He has since withdrawn his plea, but no official motion has been filed to change it. He has not been convicted of or sentenced in this crime.**
