To celebrate 5 years of Moonology, I thought I would share a little story which I’ve never shared before.
It was to do with the final draft and the editing of the book. I was in Sydney at the time, visiting family, and I was staying up all night, still on London time really, trying to get through everything I had to finish by the book’s all-important deadline.
Here’s where it all gets a little bit weird…
One of those nights in Sydney, I dreamed that I went to a party, where there was some very magical and mystical music playing. Like a concert. I remember I put my hands up in the air and danced, just taken over by the music which was all pervasive, misty and something I could feel viscerally.
As I did this, I felt as though the Moon, the Goddess (Goddess of language Saraswati?), and/or my teacher in India somehow wafted all the words I needed to add to the book into me, on this mist.
I know it sounds really strange! Even writing this now feels so unusual!
The funny thing is that after this dream, I really wasn’t quite sure if it was a dream or if I really had been to some kind of concert in Sydney while jet-lagged. I’m still not entirely sure what happened!
In any case, after that dream, the next day I woke up and - to the horror of everybody at Hay House and in particular my editor - I basically rewrote the whole book in about 48 hours. I often think that weird dream had something to do with that!!!!
If you have Moonology I’d love to know what your favourite part of the book is! Let me know in the comments below. And join me tomorrow when I’ll be reminiscing about my Moonology Oracle Cards.
