Today we talk to one of our many If You Could See Me Project family members. Tammy Ozolins lives on the bipolar spectrum. We are excited to hear from her as a teacher and a coach in the covid climate how to navigate trying times and mental health challenges. Today she is here to help bust the monolith of a bipolar diagnosis, and the generalizations. She tells us how she advocates for what she need, how she respectfully educates those around her about her diagnosis.
The If You Could See Me project began with a bout of synesthesia in the shower when as I washed my hair I envisioned the hashtag. In that moment I knew that this was my mission: to help foster creativity, facilitate self-compassion, remind people of their innate goodness, and provide a nurturing space for them to find the truth of themselves within the depths of their life's most challenging moments...and then speak them out loud for all to hear.
