The Name That Will Not Be Blotted Out

“The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.” - Revelation 3:5.

Think about this: what does it mean to have your name written in the Book of Life? It’s not just being on some heavenly list. It means your story is marked as someone who belongs to God. It’s like Jesus Himself saying, “This one is mine. They chose me. They overcame.”

Now look at the other part: “I will never blot out their name.” That shows us two realities. First: if you repent and walk with God, your name is secure. No one can erase it. But it’s also a warning: if you live indifferent, clinging to sin, choosing the world over Christ, the risk is real — the name can be erased. And what’s left of a life without Jesus? Nothing. Identity, dreams, even the memory of it… gone.

But here’s the amazing promise: Jesus will acknowledge your name before the Father and the angels. Imagine that scene! The entire universe watching, and Christ boldly declaring: “This is my faithful follower. They stood by me. They trusted in me.” Don’t you want to be recognized like that?

The truth is, every day we are writing our story. Either we’re walking with Christ, or we’re drifting away from Him. There’s no middle ground. Today, you have the chance to decide where you stand.

The question is: if Jesus came today and started confessing names before the Father, would He speak yours?

Don’t wait any longer. Ask Him now to cleanse your life, to renew your faith, and to clothe you in white garments. Because nothing in this world is worth more than hearing Christ say: “This name will never be blotted out.”
