Consider this: George Floyd, Alex Purdy, Renee Good. Their stories—one of police brutality, the others of ICE enforcement—unfolded within two miles of each other. Two miles.

That geography is a revelation. It is a map of the same battlefield.

The intersected and interconnected nature of our struggles isn’t a new theory. It’s the lived, painful, and prevalent reality for marginalized communities. The same systems that criminalize Blackness, that surveil Muslim communities, that cage migrants at the border, are branches of the same tree. They operate on the same logic of exclusion, control, and dehumanization. The police officer’s knee and the ICE agent’s warrant are instruments of the same foundational power.
