Claim: the U.S. is taking in over $200 billion in tariffs, "5 times more than ever before" and four times more than any other country. The source is President Trump's North Carolina rally audio, aired by the Mark Levin Podcast, "9/16/26 – The Left's Dangerous Plan For AI And The Economy" (1:14:11).
Verdict: mostly-false (truth score 0.25, confidence 0.72). The dollar figure holds up on a gross basis. "Than ever before" does not, and much of the money has been ordered refunded.
We start with the strongest case for the claim. U.S. tariff collections are a record in nominal terms. USAFacts puts FY2025 customs duties at $194.9 billion net, and the Bipartisan Policy Center shows $264 billion gross in 2025. Our follow-up research found China collected about $34 billion in customs duties in 2024 and the EU about $35 billion in 2025. Against those two, the U.S. collected roughly 5.5 times as much. In absolute dollars, "four times more than any country" looks like a conservative floor. We did not tabulate every country, though, and as a share of government revenue the U.S. still ranks below many tariff-dependent economies.
The claim breaks on its baseline. The previous record was about $80–100 billion in FY2022–FY2024, so the real increase is two- to threefold. A fivefold multiple is true only against FY2016 (about $35 billion). The words "than ever before" are what make the sentence false.
"Money coming into the country" also gets the mechanism wrong. U.S. importers pay duties at U.S. ports, and foreign governments transfer nothing. The New York Fed and affiliated economists estimated about 90% of the tariff burden through November 2025 fell on U.S. entities. On 20 February 2026 the Supreme Court ruled 6–3 that IEEPA does not authorise these tariffs. The Court of International Trade then ordered about $165 billion refunded. Trade-law trackers report more than $100 billion disbursed by mid-September, and the government has appealed to the Federal Circuit.
Still open: whether the refunds run through Treasury's net customs line, a full cross-country table, and whether the comparison wording is partly a transcription artefact.

The Kuhner Report, "Can Trump Beat the Media?" (22 Sep 2026, 29:49): "Butler was an inside job… There were at least two shooters… it turns out to be true."
Our verdict: false. Truth score 0.03, confidence 0.9. The FBI, both chambers of Congress and the acoustic record all point the other way.
The line comes after a caller predicts an "October surprise." It is offered as proof of a general rule: "yesterday's conspiracy theory… usually becomes the truth the next day," so "never apologize for a conspiracy theory." The transcript puts every voice under one speaker label. The line is spoken to the caller, which makes host Jeff Kuhner the probable speaker, but that is not confirmed.
We start with the strongest case for the claim. The security failure was real and avoidable. Crooks was spotted with a rangefinder, and the roof about 150 yards from the stage had no one assigned to it. Both chambers of Congress called it preventable. On 15 September 2026 the President posted that Butler was "a Democrat Plot" and said "new info" had turned up. The FBI's eighth file release raised real open questions: foreign-hosted encrypted email accounts, an anonymous payment for the cremation and a possible third phone. One 2024 acoustic analysis said the shots may be consistent with more than one weapon.
None of that establishes an inside job or a second shooter. In November 2025 the FBI, under Kash Patel and Dan Bongino, concluded that Crooks acted alone: "Every single round was accounted for." The bipartisan House Task Force and Rand Paul's Senate HSGAC report both found negligence, not a plot, and both name Crooks as the only attacker. Acoustic analyst Robert Maher counted ten shots: eight from Crooks's position and two from law-enforcement rifles. That return fire is the "second shooter" people heard. On the same day as the President's post, Patel told the Senate Judiciary Committee that investigators found "no evidence" Crooks communicated about the attack with anyone other than his parents.
We also follow how the claim gained certainty. It started as questions in July 2024. In spring 2026 it became an accusation, including Rep. Luna's "I believe an inside job." On 15 September the President made the accusation himself, and one week later a show stated it as settled. We call this pattern record rounding: a record of open questions gets rounded up to "proven." We also cover what is still unknown, including what the "new info" was, the unresolved threads in the FBI files and the motive.

A guest on The Dan Bongino Show (Ep. 2603, "What Is Really Happening Here?", 25 September 2026) said 1948 saw "the displacement of 100s of Palestinians, not 1000s, not 1000000s." Our verdict: false (truth score 0.02, confidence 0.95).
Every serious estimate of the 1948 displacement is in the hundreds of thousands. That includes figures from the Israeli government, the UN, Arab governments and pro-Israel scholars.
The transcript does not name the speaker, who is talking to Dan, so this is a guest or co-host and not Bongino himself. We start with the strongest case for them. About a minute earlier the same speaker said "let's just say hundreds of thousands," so "hundreds" may have been a slip. There is also a real scholarly argument about cause rather than size: Arab rejection of partition, the invasion by Arab armies, and the question of how many people fled versus how many were expelled. Benny Morris and Efraim Karsh still dispute this. But none of those arguments supports "hundreds," and the figure aired as a conclusion and was not retracted.
What the record shows: the UN Conciliation Commission counted about 711,000 refugees. Israel's government at the time put the number at about 500,000 to 600,000. Karsh is one of Morris's fiercest critics and consistently pro-Israel, and his village-by-village count still comes to 583,121 to 609,071. An IDF intelligence report from mid-1948, published in 2019, counted 391,000 by 1 June 1948 alone. The guest's own arithmetic doesn't hold up either. About 156,000 Arabs remained in Israel by November 1948. If that was "a third," the other two thirds would be roughly 300,000 or more.
We also look at the "zero Arabs in Tel Aviv" quiz. That is close to true for the pre-1950 municipality, whose boundary left out Jaffa. Jaffa had about 70,000 Arab residents in 1947, and only about 3,500 to 4,000 remained after it fell in May 1948. It was merged into Tel Aviv–Yafo in 1950. Finally, we place the claim in a cluster across our archive in late September: the same 1948 population count, pushed toward the same conclusion from both ends.

The Kuhner Report ("Are Sanctuary Cities Losing Steam?", 29 Sep 2026, at 10:29) said West Wing door logs show Sen. Elizabeth Warren entered the West Wing 116 times, and that 112 of those visits match her signing pardons, documents and executive orders.
Our verdict: false. Truth score 0.02, confidence 0.85. The numbers trace to a self-declared satire page, and no government record, FOIA release, committee finding or news report matches them.
We start with the strongest case for the other side. The autopen controversy is real. Trump ordered an inquiry in June 2025. On 28 Oct 2025, the GOP-led House Oversight Committee published a report finding that the autopen was used for some end-of-term clemency "without confirmed presidential authorization or proper documentation." It asked DOJ to review those cases. Democrats called it a "sham investigation," and Biden said he made every decision himself. Warren's name was tied to the autopen before any satire existed: in May 2025, White House AI and crypto czar David Sacks said on Fox News that "Elizabeth Warren controlled the autopen." Jeff Kuhner also hedged on air, saying "allegedly" and "apparently confirm."
None of that puts a door log, a visit count or a signature near Warren. Sacks later narrowed his remark on X to "my theory… On crypto, Warren controlled the autopen" and offered no documents, logs or witnesses. The Oversight report is built on 14 depositions and interviews with Biden aides. It blames staff, and neither the report nor coverage of it names Warren. The 116/112 figures and the resignation calls trace to America's Last Line of Defense, a Facebook satire network whose pages carry the banner "Nothing on this page is real." Fact-checkers rated two earlier posts in its 2026 Warren-autopen series false. On 20 Sep 2026, nine days before the broadcast, the door-logs text appeared without a satire label on a KuCoin community feed. Kuhner added that "the national media now is starting to zero in on it," and no coverage supports that. The legal premise is also wrong: a 2005 DOJ Office of Legal Counsel opinion says a president may direct an autopen signature. The real open question is whether Biden authorized particular signatures, and that is a separate matter.
In this episode we trace each step: a real official's accusation, a satirical version with more detail, a repost with the disclaimer removed, and a broadcast presented as a report. We also explain why a pair of near-matching numbers persuades.
What we still don't know: when the original satire post was first published, where Kuhner's show got the text, and whether he later corrected it on air. We have not searched the archived Biden visitor records for Warren's real visit count. Those records would not show signing activity either way.

Claim: On The Benny Show episode "What Trump Secretly Just Did With Spanish World Cup Champions Will Cause An INTERNATIONAL Incident…🤣" (20 July 2026), Benny Johnson said US intelligence documents released the week before showed Iran, China and Russia were "behind BLM" and that BLM, Antifa and "defund the police" were "funded by China and Iran."
Verdict: false (truth score 0.08, confidence 0.80). The documents describe a Chinese plan to exploit racial tension that already existed. In no account we read do they put Russia or Iran behind any protest movement, show any funding, or name BLM.
We start with the strongest case for the claim. The 16–17 July release does discuss race and protest. CSIS reports that China's planned themes included "racial tension" and "police-community tensions." The Federalist quotes a 2020 agency summary describing Chinese aims of "inciting demonstrations and marches as evidence of racial divides." The Epoch Times quotes a National Intelligence Council judgment that Chinese government elements "may have directed or conducted" a covert campaign to incite protests. That part is real, and our own earlier summary understated it.
The claim still fails on each of its five parts. Russia and Iran appear only in a line about election infrastructure. CSIS says the materials "do not reference Black Lives Matter, funding mechanisms, or coordination with Iran or Russia." CSIS also says it is "unclear from the available data whether China actually executed on the plans." No money moves to any movement in any account we read, including the most favourable ones. Former intelligence official Brian O'Neill notes that declassification "does not determine whether the information is true." The documented foreign role also points the other way: Russia's Internet Research Agency ran accounts on both sides, and its biggest Facebook ad promoted "Blue Lives Matter."
We also trace how the claim grew. A partisan headline turned "racial tension" into "BLM riots." A captioned screenshot followed. Then, over a few days, the same show moved from "behind" to "funded with hundreds of millions of dollars" to "run out of Cuba, China, Iran, Russia." The list of states changed each time and the conclusion never did. We track this pattern as the hidden-hand thread (authorship transfer).
What we still don't know: our quotes from the documents come through secondary reporting, and we have not confirmed whether "BLM" appears anywhere in the release. We also don't know whether China carried out the plan, or what document the host showed on screen.

Claim: Sen. Ted Cruz, guesting on the P.A.S. Report ("Ted Cruz on Clarence Thomas, Socialism, and the Midterm Warning Republicans Can't Ignore," 3 Sep 2026, at 17:05), said: "We are witnessing, literally, a communist takeover of the Democrat Party and an Islamist takeover of the Democrat Party."
Verdict: mostly-false (truth score 0.20, confidence 0.80). The direction is real. The tense is false. And the two halves of the sentence are not equally supported.
The case for the claim is stronger than the score suggests, so we start there. The 2026 DSA program really does call for abolishing the Senate and for an executive and judiciary "chosen by and subordinate to Congress." DSA membership went from 50,713 in October 2024 to more than 120,000 by July 2026. Explicitly communist caucuses hold real institutional power inside DSA, and the 2025 convention repealed its ban on democratic centralism. And Democratic voters' favorable views of socialism have risen.
But "takeover" says the thing has already happened. Brookings counted 282 DSA-endorsed candidates in 2026. They won well under 1% of Democratic nominations, mostly in seats rated D+10 or safer. Bernie Sanders, Mark Kelly, Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker all rejected the abolish-the-Senate plank on the record. The "Islamist" half rests on identity, not ideology. PolitiFact rated the claim that Mamdani is "bringing Sharia law to America" Pants on Fire, and both the New York Post editorial board and Cato argued against the "Islamist" framing. The host's figure of "20 fold" DSA growth is off by roughly an order of magnitude; the real multiple is about 2.4x.
We also trace where the compound phrase comes from. It runs from Taguieff's "islamo-gauchisme" to the American "red-green alliance" to the Center for Security Policy, whose analyst Cruz seated as a witness at his 5 August Muslim Brotherhood hearing. Cruz sat alone on the dais at that hearing. We also look at why welding two weak accusations into one noun phrase makes the result hard to rebut.
What we still don't know: whether DSA's internal communist turn changes what its candidates run on or win on, how November's competitive races turn out, and how to reconcile Democrats' favorable view of socialism with their stated preference for a more moderate party.

Claim: current climate change is not unprecedented, which Buck Sexton called "not even true." Verdict: mostly-false (truth score 0.2, confidence 0.9).
Fact-checked: The Buck Sexton Show, "Buck Brief — Will AI Destroy Humanity Like Skynet in Terminator?" (10 September 2026, at 1:17).
The episode is about AI, not climate. It came out one day after researcher Jacob Coxon resigned from Anthropic and warned that frontier labs are "gambling with our lives." Sexton's argument is an analogy: climate scientists had career incentives to sound alarms, so we should discount AI researchers who sound alarms. The climate denial is the premise the analogy rests on, and it goes by in a seven-word aside that Sexton concedes straight away ("but even if it is, we'll all be okay").
First, the strongest case for Sexton. Earth has been far hotter than today. Judd et al. (2024, Science) put global mean surface temperature at roughly 11–36°C over the last 485 million years, and CO₂ was once well over 1,000 ppm. Judith Curry adds a real technical objection: deep-time proxy records smooth out short events, so a brief, sharp spike far in the past could be invisible to us.
Why it still scores mostly-false: the IPCC never claimed an all-time record. AR6 limits its findings to specific time windows. Warming since 1970 is faster than any 50-year period in at least the last 2,000 years, and CO₂ in 2019 was higher than at any point in at least 2 million years. The proxy records for that 2,000-year window resolve individual years. Neukom et al. (2019, Nature) found that the Medieval Warm Period and Little Ice Age were regional and out of sync, while 20th-century warming is coherent across more than 98% of Earth's surface. On rate, the closest fast-warming event in the geological record, the PETM, released carbon roughly an order of magnitude more slowly than we are. The Judd et al. paper that supplies the kernel of truth also found temperature and CO₂ moving in lock-step, and its lead author has objected publicly to its use as proof there is nothing to worry about.
We also trace where the argument came from, from "the climate has always changed" through the hockey-stick fight to a cropped version of the Judd graph, and how it ended up as a precedent in an AI segment. We also cover what we still don't know. We hold only a short excerpt, and Sexton says "as we should discuss," so a fuller case may exist later in the show. He never names the predictions he says failed. PETM onset estimates carry real error bars.

Claim: "In Europe. Every single day, we have 3 or 4 terrorist acts." Verdict: false (truth score 0.05, confidence 0.92). Europol recorded 45 terrorist attacks across the EU in all of 2025.
The line comes from a clip of a Polish member of the European Parliament. Louder with Crowder played it in "Charlie Kirk: One Year Later – GUEST Nick Freitas" (10 September 2026, at 50:40).
Three or four a day works out to 1,095–1,460 attacks a year. Europol's EU TE-SAT 2026 counted 45 attacks in 10 member states in 2025: 22 completed, 20 foiled and 3 failed. That is roughly one every eight days, and the claim is about 28 times the real annual total. The year before, 2024, had 58. The Global Terrorism Index counted 3,492 attacks worldwide in 2024, about 9.6 a day across the whole planet. The clip would give Europe alone more than a third of all terrorism on Earth. Europe's actual share was under 2%. The clip cites "Eurostat, data", but Eurostat does not publish terrorism incident counts. Europol does.
We start with the strongest case for the concern, and it is real. Jihadist attacks in the EU rose from 14 in 2023 to 24 in 2024 and stayed at 24 in 2025. Injuries rose from 18 to 81. In 2025, 130 of the people arrested for terrorism were 18 or younger, and the youngest was 12. Solingen was a real attack and ended in a real conviction. The kernel is real. The frequency is invented, and the invented frequency is what carries the segment.
We also follow where the clip's framing comes from: the "hijra as demographic war" thesis, its roots in Eurabia and the Great Replacement, and the "be like Poland" genre of European Parliament clips. We look at how the clip travelled from the chamber floor to a US podcast, gaining parliamentary authority along the way and losing any way for listeners to check it.
What we still don't know: we have not confirmed who is speaking in the clip, so we do not name them. We could not find any dataset that produces "3 or 4 a day." We also cannot rule out that the clip was edited before it reached the show.

Claim: vaccines cause autism, neurological harm and autoimmune disorders. Verdict: mostly-false (truth score 0.12, confidence 0.92).
Fact-checked from Flyover Conservatives, "PROPHECIES | What's Coming? 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029 – The Prophetic Report with Stacy Whited" (16 September 2026), at 2:27:59.
Our transcript doesn't name the speaker, so we don't attribute the line to Stacy Whited. The segment says the American Academy of Pediatrics is "owned by Big Pharma." It says doctors get about four hours of vaccine teaching. Then it says what pediatricians tell parents about vaccines is "all of which is false": they are lying "mostly not knowingly."
We start with the strongest case for the speaker, and it is real. The 2009 Pandemrix H1N1 vaccine was causally linked to narcolepsy. The 1976 swine-flu vaccine carried about 1 extra Guillain-Barré case per 100,000 vaccinated. A federal no-fault compensation program exists because rare injuries are expected. The AAP does take pharmaceutical money: corporate funding was about 4% of its revenue.
But each confirmed harm is rare and tied to one product. Each was found by the safety monitoring the segment says doesn't exist. On autism the evidence is firm. The IOM rejected MMR and thimerosal causation in 2004 and again in its 2011/2012 review. A 2014 meta-analysis of about 1.25 million children found no link. A 2019 study of 657,461 Danish children found no higher autism rate after MMR. The US vaccine court's Omnibus Autism Proceeding rejected the causation theories in 2009. A 2025 Danish study of more than 1.2 million children found no link between aluminum-adjuvanted vaccines and 50 chronic conditions, including autoimmune diseases.
We also cover the Wakefield paper and its retraction. We cover the CDC's 2025 and 2026 rewrites of its autism page, and why the "mostly not knowingly" move works: it lets a listener keep their pediatrician while dropping what the pediatrician says. Other right-of-center shows in our archive (Ben Shapiro, Dan Bongino, PBD Podcast) state the opposite. And we list what we still don't know: who the speaker is, where the "4 hours" figure comes from, and how often susceptible-subgroup cases occur.

Claim: Federal filings show that "numbers" of the January 6 rioters imprisoned for assaulting officers were BLM and Antifa members "LARPing as MAGA supporters." Verdict: false (truth score 0.05).
Said by Benny Johnson on The Benny Show, "Commie Terrorist BOMBING in NYC, Explosion at FBI Building | Trump Warns of Sleeper Cell Attacks" (July 21, 2026, at 39:10).
Johnson said he could "put the paperwork directly in front of you from the federal filings." He never named a filing. We looked at what the filings and sworn testimony actually show.
First, the strongest case for the claim. John Earle Sullivan was a left-associated provocateur from Utah who founded Insurgence USA. He was inside the Capitol and was sentenced to six years. A December 2024 DOJ Inspector General report confirmed that 26 FBI confidential human sources were in the crowd. Both facts are real. Neither supports the claim. Sullivan was one person, not "numbers." He was convicted for his own riot conduct, not for assaulting officers, and BLM Utah's founder said he was never a member. The IG report found that only three of those sources were tasked to be there, none was authorized to enter the Capitol or incite anything, and there were no undercover FBI agents at all.
Against the claim: in March 2021, FBI Director Christopher Wray testified under oath that the FBI found no evidence of Antifa, BLM or "fake Trump supporters" in the attack. Reviews of the charging documents found far-right defendants and no Antifa or BLM members. Rioters that right-wing media had named as "antifa in disguise" turned out, in their own court cases, to be real Trump supporters. And in January 2025, President Trump granted clemency to about 1,500 January 6 defendants, including roughly 169 who pleaded guilty to assaulting police. The movement treated them as its own, not as infiltrators.
We also trace how the narrative spread. It started on day one with a Washington Times facial-recognition story that Rep. Matt Gaetz repeated on the House floor. XRVision, the firm it cited, called the story false, and the paper retracted it. By late 2021 the claim had shifted to "fedsurrection" and Ray Epps, and in July 2026 it was back alongside "foreign orchestration" claims from our own archive. We also cover why the claim is so durable: identity protection, the false-flag betrayal story, a gesture at evidence nobody can check, and a small real fact inflated into a large claim.
What we still don't know: who the 23 self-initiated informants were, and what the July 2026 "declassified documents" actually contain. If genuinely new primary documents emerge, we will revisit this.
